Pictures of the 2021 Mach E SUV reveal a lot about Ford's first electric SUV and this set is a perfect example. Although its just a prototype, the Mustang-Inspired design cues can be clearly seen.
In little under a few months pictures of the production model will be available, stay tuned!

I really hope Ford pulls this fastback design off! I really want to see how slanted the roofline is in the back.
Still no official developments happening with the Mach E aside from a new round of spy shots taken in the Colorado Springs area

It's cool to see two of them side by side like that. I wonder what they're testing specifically in Colorado, would it be how the battery performs in the cold weather?
Colorado testing has been for altitude, weather, braking, and grade/slope/towing for ICE vehicles. My guess would be altitude, weather, and for regen purposes seeing there are not trailers but there is a hitch which wasn't on the vehicle in spotted in Dearborn a few months ago.

I think you'd really want to test those regenerative brakes on LONG slopes.

That's a very good point, I didn't spot the hitch when I first saw the photos.
