Sorry if this topic was covered before.

So, I will need to change out my summer performance tires on the GT Performance model come this fall/winter due to my location in NJ. I wanted to get a head start on this.

I want to purchase a second set of wheels. The Ford Parts Department does not currently have any information on extra wheels for this model yet. Tire Rack is still researching this for the GT Performance version due to the larger Brembo brakes (interestingly, Tire Rack seems to have quite a few options for this tire size). And I read something on one of the forums (maybe this one) about the MRR brand options.

I wish to keep the same tire/wheel size (245/45R20), but would like to avoid a more generic version of wheel that requires rings and/or spacers to fit this vehicle.

Any suggestions at this point in time...? Thanks in advance.

I am interested in ideas as well, I'm in Ontario. I got news from the dealer that my GT should arrive within the next 10 weeks, so that's good news.

I will be taking them down to 17" or 18" for the Blizzaks or X-Ice (Whichever is cheaper). I was thinking of just ordering the 18" Mach-E rims.

I'm going to do the exact same thing as you. I'm not expecting a ford option, but if they offer a winter tire/wheel package I'll take it. On my current car, I run 20s with Pilot Sport 4s's in the summer and 19's with less interesting tires in the winter so, I'll probably do something similar here.

IcoHolic, do you know if 18's will fit over the brakes?

That I don't know, I was going to wait until it showed up as built and then dive into the winter tire thing for delivery. Looking at the calendar, I'm going to have them on for delivery.

Yeah, I'm hoping either Ford has an answer or they send one to Tire Rack for dimensions. I don't think a single GT has been delivered yet right?

The dealer told me today that 18's won't fit over the calipers, so I have to go with 20" snow tires. I asked for a price on the OEM 20" wheels with tires and sensors. The quote was $7200 CAD! I won't be going with OEM 20s. :)

At least the gave you a number! That's crazy though - about 2x what Audi charges for their OEM Winter wheel tire package. They also store them for you and change them.

I'm hoping it's just placeholder pricing and it'll change once the car starts making its way to dealers. I paid substantially less for OEM 20" Lincoln wheels.

I contacted Tire Rack last week and they don't have anything yet. I am hoping 19" will fit over the calipers as some of the pics coming out show decent clearance. Prices are similar for 19" and 20", but some are on backorder until November which doesnt bode well for those in snow land (NJ here)

Hubby Just took delivery of our GT. I’ve been driving my mach-e since April. Anyone have any firm answer on winter tires? On a side note- I thought my Mach-e was fast, but the GT is sooo much faster!

Tire Rack has yet to get its hands on Mach E GT performance. And until they can do the measurements themselves, and document which wheels will fit, they will not be able to offer any wheels that can be used for winter tires. So if any of you have taken delivery of your Mach E GT performance and live in the South Bend Indiana area, give them a call. They would like to be able to take the measurements. Help us all out. So far loving my Mach E GT. A little concerned about the similarity of our LG battery pack to the Chevy Bolt battery pack, but I hope that Ford is paying attention to the concerns.

I think I posted this in another thread but I was able to order a second set of wheels through my dealer's parts department. They're $950/wheel, but on backorder.

On Winters, I'm having them replace the pirelli's with Michelin X-ice when the car gets in and then will mount my summers on the second set of wheels when they come in.
