2022 orders converted to 2023 MMEs?

I have a Premium ordered (1/14/22) I am still waiting on. Dealer sales person (trying to get me to buy a way over MSRP used '21 MachE) said that my '22 order will likely get rolled over to a '23 at a higher price point. Anyone hear something similar?

I ordered a premium ER AWD in April 2022 and am taking delivery next weekend. It arrived at the dealership this past week.

That is awesome for you - a bit frustrating for me. Not sure what I can do about that? Is it a Canada vs US thing?

If they can't make your 22 and convert it to a 23, based on last year they will make you whole.

Our 21 order was $56,800 msrp. Price went up $595, Ford gave $750 incentive. Price went up again by $2,000. Ford applied price protection. Sticker ended up being $59,395. We paid A-Plan on first price increase, less $750 incentive.

I was told that today I would be able to order my Mach E premium, but as of 12:15 CST it has yet to happen. Crossing my fingers that it will open up soon! We are really looking forward to purchasing our first EV.

We have been trying to purchase one outright for the last five months but when we got close to closing the deal there was $12k markup added on at the last minute. We are being told when we order one from our local dealership that we will only be charged MSRP.

TIP: Be sure to contact your local dealership ahead of ordering it and confirm that they do not add markups. We are also waiting for the opportunity to order a Mach E since the dealer markups are just outrageous, but learned that some of them add these costs even on custom orders. Keeping my fingers crossed too that registration for new Mach E orders do open up today (August 15, 2022).

Thanks for the heads up! I will for sure check on that. So far our local dealer has been honest and upfront on everything.

I have been trying hard not to text him a bunch today, but it's kind of hard not to...lol
Definitely check with your dealer about markups! I finally got mine last week after 287 days and my guy told me that Ford is trying to get a handle on the crazy markups. So, it may be worth it to contact Ford directly to report them. Maybe if enough people complain they will try harder! BTW, Zeck Ford in Purcell OK did not mark mine up and honored my locked price from last October. They were great to work with!

You might want to do some research on this topic to understand it better. Fact - Ford cannot stop dealers from marking up any vehicle. However, Ford is watching, and has put out guidelines around this, and specifically stated that what they will do is cut future allocations. So, the dealer that marks up Mach-Es, Broncos, and F-150Ls in 2022 might not get as many, or any, in 2023 and beyond.

Its probably related to the model price and availability. Premium AWD is more expensive and fewer people order them thus more availability. I order a premium in Jan this year and expected shipping in September and missed the $7500 rebate completely with the inflation reduction act law change. From a hindsight I would’ve ordered a more expensive model instead.

If you ordered last January - you haven't missed it yet. Ford (and several others) confirmed the $7500 tax credit will be good through the end of the year. The IRS says this is the case for the Mustang Mach E if purchased between August 16 and December 31.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately for people whose household income is >$300k the tax rebate goes from $7500 to $0.
I purchased my Mach E used and paid more because the dealership paid more for it at auction unfortunately....my son sells fords so I know I am getting the truth. The dealerships are not supposed to be adding junk fees on top of the MSRP for the New Mach-E's that people ordered. However, many are marking them way way up if they happen to get a new one that they can sell to someone that did t order it and only got lucky to come across it. My sons dealership it taking all of this very seriously and are not marking up the cars. Ford does NOT want the dealerships marking up the new car MSRP's on the EV's. In fact once they are found out Ford will punish them by not giving them inventory. My son can take car orders by phone and have cars shipped to anyone. If you are interested his name is Matt Pack with Muarry Ford in Kingsland GA But as we all know things are changing rapidly and the Government is taking us all on Mr Frog's wild ride :-(
P.S. my post is just information :) I am not pushing my son on folks....I just know he and the dealership are honest. There are still some good ones out there.

According to that IRS site, that isnt the case til 2023. The only new rule is the "final assembly requirement" before Dec 31, 2022 which Ford meets since it is made in North America.

Vehicles Purchased and Delivered between August 16, 2022 and December 31, 2022
If you purchase and take possession of a qualifying electric vehicle after August 16, 2022 and before January 1, 2023, aside from the final assembly requirement, the rules in effect before the enactment of the Inflation Reduction Act for the EV credit apply (including those involving the manufacturing caps on vehicles sold). If you entered into a written binding contract to purchase a new qualifying vehicle before August 16, 2022, see the rule above.

Thanks for the info! This is great news that the EV credit prior to inflation reduction act applies.

Things my dealer told me Tuesday:
1. Ford believes they will make it through all '22 orders by end of year.
2. They also told me that, as they understand it, Ford is doing this in exact batches of everything minus upholstery and floor mats. So, my Premium AWD ER Dark Matter will be done with other of Premium AWD ER Dark Matter. They have seen January orders with April orders because they were the same relative specs.
3. Ford updates the websites on Thursdays.

I checked this morning (Friday morning after the thursday update) - AND I GOT A PRODUCTION DATE. The week of "9/26/2022"
