Blue Cruise Attention Warning

895 Views 6 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Ravensfan1996
I can't turn my head away from the road for more than a couple seconds before I get the "ding ding ding..." and it wants me to point my eyes back on the road. I can't even look at my navigation map without getting these warnings.

Does anyone know of a way to turn that off. I can't even take a nap. (joke)

Can't be turned off. If you switch off handsfree, then maybe it won't ping you, I haven't tried.

My other car is a Tesla, all I have to do is wiggle the wheel every 45 seconds. The whole idea of using Blue Cruise for me is that I can do things like look at my screen and plan my next charging stop without being pestered by that annoying ping.

Wiggling the wheel would not be handsfree driving. You don't have to touch the wheel with BlueCruise handsfree driving. But, with a Tesla, you can go to sleep and crash into people because, well, Tesla.

This isn't a secret, there is information on the Ford site, and videos, and it explains how it tracks your eyes. If it's a feature that doesn't work for you, then perhaps more pre-purchase research was needed.

For what it's worth, a vehicle traveling at 60 MPH will travel 178 feet and at 70 MPH 208 ft. or 12 to 14 vehicle lengths in "a couple of seconds".
I get a good 5-10 seconds before mine starts to ding me. I notice it shuts off more depending on the lighting/sun when i wear sun glasses. But over all have no problem doing things with the NAV or radio with BC
