Hopefully the delivery will begin before end of the year for premium AWD, otherwise I might get a Model Y instead.

Ford should learn from Tesla, under promise and over delivery.

Unfortunately true. Ford would be able to convert more reservations to orders if people were more certain of their financials. How long it takes to get control over the CV will determine things.

I'm not sure anyone could have predicted the situation we're in now. Ford has said they aim to deliver some versions of everything but the GT this year.
But I have to think CV will stop the plants for a few weeks at least.

I thought I recalled Ford is only delivering First Editions and Premiums in 2020, Select and GT in 2021.

in ?? Fiat, Volkswagen , PSA shut down manufacturing due to the Corona virus. That means a lot of the chinese production capacity for parts could go to the USA/Mexico.
