Rory Reid from Autotrader takes an in-depth look at Dyson's electric SUV project and why ultimately they had to scrap it.

It's a real shame, it would've been remarkable to see Dyson get into the EV game. Especially with its proposed 600 mile range.

Nice idea but I guess that in the end the project sucked?

On a serious note, he wanted it to be affordable, but in the end the price to customers would have been $150k US.

What's the most fascinating thing about the SUV for me is this interior.

The Times also got to see the electric SUV鈥檚 interior, which reminds me of some of the futuristic concepts at car shows. Most notably, the surprisingly slim seats featured segmented cushions and lollipop-shaped headrests designed in such a way that, according to Dyson, would provide better lumbar support overall. And for the driver, the dashboard was kept clean by utilizing a head-up display, such that it 鈥渇loats in front of your face like a hologram.鈥
