Just heard from my dealer friend. He says he hadn't heard about this from Ford, but he got the email from a customer.

Apparently it's retroactive?!?

By model perhaps? Just to FE reservation holders? They did not get the $3K price reduction. I do think Ford should provide some remediation for the FE reservation holders who are getting their cars AFTER others are getting their CA RT1, Select, and Premiums...

But I also think that Ford is once again thinking like an old/tired tin knocker company. They could do a good will gesture without $$ remediation simply by providing a "free" upgrade to the hands free L2 driving. They need to start thinking like a tech company that leverages software.

Well, it better include the “FIRST EDITION” buyers that reserved one in the first few days after reservations opened up in order to get their Mach-E’s FIRST.
We paid a $3,600 surcharge over a Premium AWD / Ext Batt. and ended up with a “FIFTH EDITION” in delivery.

I live a short 6 hour transport trip from Kansas City and there were cheaper Premiums and selects delivered to ALASKA before I finally got mine just before March.
What a FARCE after effectively paying an $1,100 + $3,600 (Total $4,700) early delivery charge.

Then as as a finale insult --- after telling the GSM over a year and a half before delivery that I absolutely did not want a Front License Bracket, I was told they had been they have been taking deliveries of Mustangs for over 50 years and Mustangs NEVER come with the front bracket installed.

Well, Ford must not consider the First Edition a REAL Mustang cause --- Yep it came with 3 Holes in the front of a $60,000 vehicle that are going to cost me close to a Grand to get repaired and more if it has to go back to Ford to re-align / calibrate cameras and radar sensors after the front end is removed --- Thanks a lot Ford.

I would prefer Fordpass reward credits that can be used towards service. We already receive 22000 points with the purchase of the car within 48 hours but I think we can use more haha.

The $1,000 transportation charge you included: everyone pays this so the actual up charge for the “Special Edition” was $3600.

Because Ford has refused to include any part of the Federal Tax Credit of $7;500 in their lease and refused to include any discounts to offset the $3600 premium for the FE, the monthly payments for 36 months, only 7,500 miles per year came to $956.

I pointer out to the dealer that monthly payment was more than if I bought the car under the Option Plan!

Long story short: I told the dealer that I would not be taking the FE and to put my $500 deposit back on my credit card which he said he would do.

With regard to the FE: I think the FE is as close to false advertising as anything I have ever seen. Rather than get angry, I have just moved on.

After telling the asking the dealer 2 separate times for the front license plate bracket delete.... guess what? Window sticker shows the bracket as a no cost option. This would not have happened if Ford allowed the end customer (me) to select these options (with a warning that it's required in NY).

People think I'm silly comparing Domino's Pizza to the Ford Motor Company with regard to their client facing IT system/infrastructure but is it really different? I don't like the Domino's product but have to admit, the ordering and tracking app runs circles around... well... anything Ford has. For a $5 pizza made by minimum wage kids. The few times we have to order Domino's... they've been spot on with all the details of the order.

Kind of embarrassing for Ford when a $13B pizza company with perishable materials and unreliable labor runs circles around them.

I got the 250 extra free kwh (but not the $1,000) email yesterday. My Premium was held a month between build and shipping. Ford said it was for extra quality checks. It is now on the way to Kansas City.

I called about the $1000 for those taken delivery, and was told that I was not eligible. Anyone else who got their car already get the $1000? I was confirmed for the additional 250 kWh.
