Ford just screwed me.

My MME has been moved to 2023. And on top of that. Comfort and tech package not available plus color I ordered iced blue silver no longer available. It defaults to vapor blue. Not getting anything I wanted. I ordered a MME on March 7th; Select AWD with Comf/Tech package. Just got informed by dealer; not there fault they have been great. My MME will be converted to 23my but color and options will no longer be available on Select model plus car went up $3k. Getting same price on car but with none of the options or color I wanted. The said Ford would give me a private offer rebate to offset cost of increase. I'm not sure what to do. My wife and I have had 12 Fords since 2003. This is beyond frustrating. Not getting anything I want and paying the same money for less options. I wish I could talk to anybody at Ford about this situation. I am sure I am not alone. Very dissatisfied with this whole situation. I'm having reservations about even moving forward with this 2023 purchase. Ford also picked the color for me now it's Vapor Blue. Ugly color IMO. I've been waiting going on 6 months now I have wait longer for something I don't even want. I don't know what to do.

I would ask the GM at the dealer if they would upgrade you to a Premium model at the same cost as the Select. I am not familiar with the '23 options, but does the Premium have what you wanted? Good luck.

Dealership stated customers would get private offer rebate to help offset cost price increase. What's frustrating is Ford could have reached out and said you need to change color or something to get yours built. They just did nothing. I know they want to cut dealers out. But this is an epic fail.

Almost glad that I cancelled my Premium AWD LR that I ordered on 2/11. I was too excited, but it became obvious in the last month or two that I would not get the vehicle by 12/1 which I told Ford was the latest we could accept delivery(we go to AZ for 5 months). At the time of ordering it looked like no problem...now it looks like I would have had to re-order a 2023.🤯

Hi Marcus, I agree I thought it was completely poor customer service on ford's part here we are waiting for months and then they pull this!

I just had the same thing happen to my mach e order if you haven't done so yet you should be able to contact your dealer and change your color, they allowed me to do that. At this point if the price adjustment is not close to the 2022 price I am thinking of purchasing a Tesla.

I reordered my MME in Black and had to move from Select to Premium. Because of option availability. Don't know what the rebate will be. Probably only $3,000 because of Select over all price increase. Just to be clear dealer is not at fault. Ford did this. They are not good at sales and service. They need not to get involved in anything but manufacturing. A lot of self inflicted decisions on there part. Under forecasted MME orders. Now customer has to pay for there mistake. I also hope they honor their 2.49% for financing when I originally order back in March. We shall see. I am loyal because of my A plan purchasing price ability. But just very disappointed with situation. Could have been avoided. They should have just built what they promised on reservations. No matter what.
I ordered my Select RWD with comfort/technology package on 4/3/22. I was told it would take about six months. It was right at six months when I got my email yesterday asking me to sign my "new" order for the 2023. No comfort/technology package and an updated price. The order guy at my dealership never acknowledged the fact it's NOT the same car I originally ordered. I went to the dealership and they told me the rebate to "help offset the price change" won't be the full $3,000 (he didn't know what it will be). At the dealership, they had the same car I ordered (2022 w/ the tech/comfort package) - just a different color. I figured I'd just take that one, until they told me it had a $15,000 market adjustment on it. So, now I have to wait another 6 months for a car config I don't want... and pay more for it? Not to mention the financing interest rate is higher now too. Now, I don't think I can even afford this car. Before I ordered the Mach-E, I had ordered a Tesla but let it go in favor of the Mach-E. I ordered the Tesla in 2021 and they also switched it to 2022... but HONORED my original order price which was $5,000 less. Had I known Ford would do this, I would have just taken possession of the Tesla.

Dealership told me today the rebate will NOT be the full $3,000.

Not surprising. Ford looked like a winner with the Mach e...not so much now. I got my $1000 back and will probably order a Polestar 3. More expensive, but a lot more car.

Be careful with the Tesla. I drove the Model Y 4 times and in each case got nauseous from the poor suspension. And their price has gone through the roof.
Just an update. Reordered 23 MME. Went to Premium package. Plus I was emailed a private offer for getting pushed from 22 to 23 MME. I checked with local dealer about private offer the checked certificate number and program number. Rebate will be for $6500 because I went to Premium pkg. My MME is scheduled week of October 31st and eta for delivery will be first week of December. I'm starting to get a little excited now. I have a vin number.

You are lucky. I will wait for the Polestar 3. Now that the Mach E price has gone way up, the Polestar is more attractive...better car, better range.

It takes some digging (and I wish I had kept the number for you) but you CAN get ahold of Ford Corporate office to talk directly with the manufacturer to see what solutions they have available. I understand your frustration and feel you should get much closer to what you ordered!! So sorry, it definitely sux and I hope something happens to fix it. Ford Corporate and the dealerships are definitely struggling with this new relationship. I think you could make better progress talking to corporate.

Any update? Were you able to get the $6500? Thx
I’m in the same boat right now with rollover to premium 2023 but they say only for 3k, obviously an increase. Probably need to mention $6500 if possible
What's strange is that all these orders that are canceled are ending up on the lots, and being sold.

I just got my car inspected, and they had two on-site that had been ordered, but cancelled for one reason or another.

@marcuswarren82 I was so happy to see you were excited & close to getting your MME end of October, how are you enjoying it? I think the Premium checks all the boxes for options & has the glass roof top which is always a ohh ahh feature when people enter. Also Black looks amazing on MME’s as well. I’d luv to see a picture? :)

@Doc I ordered my 22 Premium Ext. Range. 01/29/22 & picked it up from dealer July 4th weekend. You ordered just shortly after & would have like received it 2022. I seen a sweet senior couple at Electrify America who approached me on a recent trip back from UT to CA & they rented a Polestar (Hertz & 1st time) & asked me to help them. They’d been there around midnight over 1 Hr. & struggling with the car. Of course I checked the odometer & readings & explained it to them but unfortunately we couldn’t establish a charge but she had enough range to get them to their 35 mile destination. In their higher 80’s they were so elated to know they’d arrive safely. The husband was fragile & she was the driver. They said they wanted an EV but next time they’d pick a different type car. In fact I have a picture bc they reminded me of my parents (mine are younger though but my dad is also the fragile one (stroke) & my mom is primary driver) & a similar situation. (See pic in their Polestar.)

I told them the Mach-E was flawless (1,500 mile road trip) & charges without a hiccup.

When I ordered in January 2022 & picked up July 2022 they initially gave me paperwork for 3.99% & I told them “No I am expecting the rate when I ordered” & they quickly changed it to 2.49% (had 740+ Fico’s) but I think they’d honor request anyway from anyone’s order date if mentioned. The Ford Options plan has huge initial reductions/initial rebates that the regular purchase loan didn’t have. So I did the Ford Options plan & will pay it off within the 4 yr term & have a really sweet payment. Also qualified for the $7,500 tax credit.

Only thing I would change if I could but I didn’t know then what I know now, I’d of ordered a GTPE bc I love my MME & could only imagine the higher level in Performance edition. But maybe that’s not good for my driving record. Lol

I’m happy with my 2022 Premium MME. Any MME to own is a prize 🏆

@Tony Shifflett I seen that also. With interest rates going way up & talks about prices on cars going down (inflation, etc) some buyers may be getting cold feet but another thing I am aware of, many workers at dealerships “Ordered” MME’s & planned to sell them on the lot bc there was a shortage to dealerships. There were Mark Ups & $$ was to be made. So maybe their saying customer cancellations but could be otherwise. It wasn’t allowed, that’s why they ask us for Drivers License upon ordering. A worker told me about that (2 MME orders) & he’s no longer there.🤷🏻‍♀️

Btw, Teslas have a lot of recent (Oct-Dec) buyers upset with their huge price cuts effective Jan. 2023. Something Elon said they wouldn’t do. But he realizes his current state & is trying to appease shareholders & move inventory. So the facade of being more then just an Auto Manufacturer is bust, Tesla is that, an Auto Manufacturer reaching for stars 🌟 to try & sustain in a penetrable EV industry with major competitors knocking ✊ on his heels.
Will this sway Ford to follow suit & lower prices, I think not bc Ford is very Strong, Solid & will rise above maintain it position as it continues to progress steadily in the right direction.
I also think Rivian is in trouble but thats a whole other paragraph. I’m just glad I sit in a winning vehicle & every day feels that way..💙
