Does anyone have any indication, based on any of the "leaks", on the size/dimensions of the Mach E? I am very excited about the possibility of this being my next ride, but I am curious if its going to be closer in size (more so interior dimensions) to a subcompact crossover vs a compact crossover.

Has anyone seen any weight figures for the Mach-E?
I don't think Ford has published any weights, but It won't be light.
Tesla's 85 KWH battery weighs 1,200 lbs, so just the 99 KWH Mach-E
battery will be in the 1,400 lb range.

A Tesla S with a 100KWH weighs in just under 5,000 lbs, so would guess
the Mach-E will also be in that area.

It looks like we might have an answer about the weight.

Richard pointed out the media page for the vehicle on the Ford website, which lists many of the dimensions. A lot of specs can be found in links at the bottom:

This is going to be very handy for me. Thanks for sharing it!

Do someone in here know the exact dimension of the boot space.?
I mean L x W x H.
It is totally different how each calculate between US, UK AND EU.
In Norway it is shows 402 Litres official. And in US 29 cu ft @821 litres. Please can someone here take the dimension if available while in autoshow?

I'm wondering the same. 402 litres sounds too low as many of the news are stating that it's even bigger than on Audi etron.

402L can't be right. That's only 14.4 cu ft. At first I thought maybe that was just the frunk but it's only 4.8 cu ft (139L). Perhaps that's only counting the area underneath the built-in cargo privacy cover?

The Mach-e is fairly close in size to the Escape, except the Mach-e slopes down more in the back whereas the Escape maintains more of the height all the way back. So they should be similar except in cargo height. I'd guess the Mach-e cargo area is a few inches narrower too because it has those styling hips on the outside that squeeze the interior down slightly near the rear.

My Escape cargo area is 40" wide at the floor. The rear seats (not counting the headrests) rise up 21" from the cargo floor. Those should be similar on the Mach-e (I'd guess 38" wide, and 24" rear seat height since the floor sinks lower). But pretty close, minus less height for the lower sloping roof. Thus the difference between 34 cu ft on the Escape vs 29 on the Mach-e. (But remember we get 4.8 cu ft more in the frunk too.)

here thr official measurement from ford Norway.it has been a lot of discussion about the cargo space. And some one said that he had measured physically 100cm x 80 cm.
These makes many customer cancelling their order. In Norway cargo space, towing capacity, AWD and the roof rack for ski is the most important. Hope Ford can really give the exact measurements or some real photos if cargo space fill up with suitcase.

I really don't know. They must have a totally different set of rules for calculating cargo space. Is it normally way different there for comparing other vehicles too (like the Kuga vs the Escape, which are the same vehicle with only a few minor differences)?

I used Ford's website with the side view of all the vehicles in their lineup and the Mach E is about the same dimensions as an Edge. In terms of weight to power ratio, 4920 lb with 459 hp puts the GT at about the same as a tuned Explorer Sport which runs high 12s. But since the Mach E GT has 610 ftlb torque on tap I'd estimate it to run low 12s or maybe high 11s but the lack of power is not going to make it set any records. My SHO was 4300 lb and tuned made about 460 hp,and it ran 12.4 all day long. The new Explorer ST tuned makes about 520 hp and weighs 4700 lb and runs low 12s. EcoBoost doesn't have the same torque on tap as EV, but past 1st gear you are rarely below 4k RPM at WOT, so the torque is basically 450 to 500 ftlb all the way to the shift point when tuned.

TLDR, I think it will be about the same as an Edge or a Fusion with more ground clearance and a hatchback. The GT will probably run low 12s or high 11s in the 1/4.

Car and Driver put together this dimension comparison with the Mach-E and the Mustang.

Looks to me like there might be a benefit in a "transmission tunnel" that could be used to house batteries in a sports car/roadster BEV. 20" is a lot of height to make up. Wonder what the new Tesla Roadster packaging looks like.

That would be an interesting idea to keep the traditional sports car layout while putting that space to good use. Though I don't know how much extra battery power you could fit there.

I just don't see how to lower the car with the skateboard platform. The batteries would have to in the transmission tunnel and under the rear seat.

If Elon's stated performance + range for the new roadster is to be realized, I wonder where the batteries will be housed. That thing is Lamborghini low.
