I own a Samsung Fold which opens like a book. I was using a drink holder phone bracket which is able to hold the phone when the screen is unfolded. I found that the 'mounting ball' on the tray unit is compatible, so I was able to utilize my current 'holder' putting the standard enclosed holder on the Pax side mount.

I had been using a suction cup phone holder attached to the dash behind the monitor to hold the phone.

I liked the AOSK Monitor tray but I felt that the phone arms were angled in the wrong direction. I modified the arms by first cutting a notch on the opposite side of the arm with a fine tooth saw.

Then I drilled out the hole in the arm with a 9/32" drill to remove the web in the center of the hole.

Since the web in the hole center had been removed, the included screw no longer worked. A larger head screw that was also long was used to secure the arm.

The phone is almost where it was located when on the suction cup holder. The other side (without a screw)

I touched up the screw with black paint.
My wife loves the tray over the speedometer display.

Cool idea, but if you ever park in a high crime area and anything of any value is visible from the windshield, they'll break your side window. Just something to think about before buying.
