New 2023 -- Parking Assist Issue

Hello all! I just received my 2023 Mach E, and I love it. I am technologically challenged, however, so I am having a bit of difficulty with a few things despite all the resources in the car and on youtube. My biggest frustration is with the parking assist. When I press and hold the P button, proceed forward at a slow pace and put my blinker on my touch screen does not display anything that asks me if I want to parallel or perpendicular park at all. It just stays pretty much blank except for the toggle switch re: the sensors. I feel like I must have some setting turned off somewhere, but I can't figure it out. I've tried in all types of weather, light, parking lots, curb situations. Any ideas? I'm sure it's me and not the car.

2023s do not have Park Assist. 2022s got a "prep kit" and a deduction on their sticker.

Well that's a bummer. Dealer never mentioned that...

It's not on sticker, and shouldn't have been in the configurator when ordered, so you didn't pay for it.
You’re not missing anything…. My GTPE has it but I never pushed the button to use it until this morning after I read your post, just to verify that it is active. I never used it because:
1) I know how to parallel park, and
2) my previous car, an Audi RS5 was equipped with park assist. When I did the walkthrough, the salesman said “if you use this feature, hover your foot over the brake the entire time - we don’t trust it.” When my MachE was delivered to my home, the salesman said the same thing. I don’t trust it… I don’t need it…
I do use the cameras all the time to see the curb though. That’s a great feature.

For 2022 owners with prep kit installed, anyone got the park assist feature installed? I assume you need to pay for the deducted amount.

It is not yet available, so the answer is no one.
And in case you see any videos for the "hands-free liftgate", that is also not on the 2023 Mach-E (at least it is not on mine).

I have a 2021 GT, and I did not trust the park assist at first, but after a few times trying it I realized it actually does a great job at self parking. My wife freaks out and closes her eyes when I activate it , but it works.
I have 22 GT and it works, it does freak me out when I use it though. I always have my foot over the break just in case. I don’t trust it either, or the blue cruise.
