I had a Rapid Red GT reserved. I got an email today (Tuesday, April 27th), from Ford, telling me that my order had been placed with my dealer. I never got the chance to specify the GTPE variant, nor to change the color (Cyber Orange wasn't an option when my reservation was placed).
I immediately called the Ford helpline, which wasn't much help. Nobody could tell me if this was classified as a NEW order, or was a reserved order (to keep my place in line). Confusingly, this happened the day BEFORE I was supposed to be able to place my order.
I called my dealer, who congratulated me about my order. I pointed out the discrepancy between what I wanted to order, and what the order actually said. I was told that "you'll need to wait a couple of days for us to edit the order". I was also told that "the order price will not reflect the correct X-plan price"...and that X-plan pricing couldn't be applied until I actually went to purchase the delivered-to-the-dealer car. This could be a ploy to put me over a barrel by denying me the X-plan, and then making me start the order process all over again.
I'll let you know what happens when I try to get this twisted tale straightened out. What happened to "You'll place your order on the 28th" ??????
