I don't know which version of Powerup update I have as it is not listed when the dealer updates it.
Here the Amazon orders are:

On FordPass click vehicle icon then software updates. Scroll to 'Recent Changes' click and next page shows Powerup ver. and what it adds.
Wikipedia lists all of the Powerups and what they do and will do.

I tried doing what you said but there is no "Recent Changes" to click. Where exactly are the Powerup updates located on Wikipedia?

Long status update on my car

I had left my car at an alternate dealership (as my selling dealer gave me an appt one month out for 20th April) for my PowerUp v1.7.1 issue to be fixed. After one week sitting in the lot they started working on my car. Due to an urgent work I had to leave for a trip outside the US, so the dealer kept me updating on the status

  • Day 7 - Tech checked the car, and found bad APIM module that is preventing the updates. APIM module ordered.
  • Day 9 - APIM module arrived tech started updating
  • Day 13 - Tech leaves on a planned vacation will be back in 2 days
  • Day 14 - Dealership takes window and gets the Roof Panel recall work done (windshield is not being done, as I have a crack and Insurance will replace it, long story Windshield recall will stay open as Ford says as they did not do the work they won't close it - I will deal with that mess later)
  • Day 15 - Tech comes back, I come back, and still car not complete, more updates like Bluecruise taking a long time, I say nothing and they give me a loaner
  • Day 16 - today I will get an update what it is, at least on the FordPass app all alerts gone that had generated yesterday, so feels good.
  • Day 17 - tomorrow I have the Insurance windshield appt, if dealer does not give me the car, that has to be moved one week out.

BTW my Selling dealer still has that 20th Apr appt open. I have told them nothing. If all gets fixed by Monday 18th, I will cancel that.

What a long journey? Hopefully I get Bluecruise activated, as I have a 2000-mile trip to Atlanta coming on 5th of next month and would love to try out Bluecruise.

Today is Easter Friday, hope things work out,

Worried, why does this take so long. Can anyone run my VIN (3FMTK2R76MMA36079) against FDRS to see what was done software wise?

Got my car back.

- Roof Glass recall done, looks ok except I do not know what to look for alignment to body panels. But thing I saw - dealer did not snap the A-pillar on the driver side, gap in putting it back. will go back and get that fixed. They did clean the panels up good inside with fingerprint marks when they use facking dirty hands all over.

- Software updates done. I am at guess PowerUp v2.5.3 as my Sync shows Software Version: 22034_PRODUCT Revision: 364

- Have got Bluecruise installed. Free till Oct 2022. Used it for 200+ miles, worked great for most part, but last night it did not activate in low visibility rain, and I have no issues with that as I am OK being in control

- Car Sync is much better to load up, smoother controls, have most new features.

- My Insurance windshield appt had to be rescheduled, as when I inspected the new OEM Windshield it was scratched at the driver side view. Refused install they are sourcing another one.

- Cancelling my 20th April appt with my "selling" dealer for software updates.

- Going on a 2000 mile trip 1st week May so will report back more details.

Blue Cruise supposed to be free for 1 year. Why only 6 months for you?
Don't know why. Someone told me that Oct 2022 is just for maps expiration and not BC, but I will research more in days to come. Wish we had a one stop Customer Service for EVs who know, and not the general line who speak like an ICE car.

OK called Ford CS. If someone is in a good mood, and wants to spoil the mood, call into Ford "Incompetent" CS staff. They know nothing. After I gave them all details of the 21G01 document, and that I went into the dealer, I got the Bluecruise update, that I am using it and it works, but still it is not showing in my connected services, they finally escalated my case and that someone will call me.

My car falls in Job 1 lot, build date June 2021, and all checks mark on the 21G01 document.

After the call - I uninstalled and reinstalled the FordPass App, lost my journeys as I reset the app data, and then also went to the car and did a Master Reset. Remove the Vehicle from the Fordpass and re-added it.

Lets see what they come up with.

Made my seventh trip to the dealer for software/recall issues. My trip today was once again with an appointment however when I got there I was once again informed that there were no loaners so once again I left. I am now six OTA updates behind my last 2.3.0 was 15 Feb. the vehicle is a joy the IT sucks. MMe built 12/20 delivered 02/21

Finally got my Bluecruise in my Connected Services on Ford.com account. Got my free 1-year trial, and then will subscribe for it next year

I'm also stuxk at 1.7.1 but do not find TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN 22-2117. Would you have a link or a location to find it?
Thanks in advance for any help
Here you go. Print this, take it to the dealer and tell them to either go thru this and update, or check which module is bad (for me the APIM module had to be replace) and use FDRS to update to v2.5.3 which all cars should get. When you tell them this, they will do it. Tell them you have been talking to Ford and they said to go to the dealer with this information. As these updates take time plan to leave the car for up to a week.

I heard 22-2150 is an update to 22-2117 hence print both.

I have now brought it to the dealership 4 times and they have not been able to work on the problem at all, this time blaming "Ford Servers" on their inability to fix. I have even provided them with TSB documents shown in this thread. Over the weekend I received a letter from Ford specifically referencing this problem. See my email and try to help me understand their response??

FROM ME TO DEALERSHIP:
"As you're aware, I picked up my vehicle on Friday as you weren't able to repair it due to servers being down. I'm not sure what exactly you mean with the servers. However, this morning I got a customer service notice from Ford that seems to identify the problem I've been trying to fix since March. The letter reads "Customer Satisfaction Program 22B08" and identifies an internal error in SYNC or Telematics Control Unit module software which will prevent the receipt of updates. Forums online say that TSB 22-2150 will fix the issue. Let me know if there is anything I can do to get it done there, or if I would be better served seeing if another dealership can perform the update?"

RESPONSE FROM DEALERSHIP:

"EVEN WITH THIS PROGRAM YOU ARE SPEAKING OF IT STILL WILL NOT LET US RECONIZED THE THERE IS A FLASH INSERT. STILL WORKING ON IT
THIS TSB IS TO FIX AND ERROR MESSAGE NOT IDENTIFY THE FLASH INSERTED"

Wish that I found this post several months ago, as my car is suffering the same condition. Sometime during past recall or ”customer satisfaction program” work on software systems, the car lost the OTA Update capability.

The last attempt of the Service Department to fix this was in early December — a 3 day drop-off that concluded with the explanation that the car needed a new APIM. I was told that one was on order and in-stock at Ford; and would probably arrive in a week. Hearing nothing, I left a message with Service after New Years Day. I heard back this week, a text update that Ford changed the part status to out of stock, with no promised date.

I contacted Ford Customer Service and they were more revealing. Their explanation: “the Supplier of APIMs is waiting for Ford Engineering to release the latest system version, so that APIMs can be loaded as Current”. Again, there is no announced date for this, though the apology was lengthy. Wow!

I can guess that the logic of this must be to alleviate some of the load on field service departments from multi-day system loads (can anyone confirm?). But the explanation sure makes it sound like there is either an embarrassing lack of urgency to address the issue at Ford Engineering; or their communication is poor.

So this is the “news” I’m bringing to this older Post — maybe for owners just struggling through the issue, like me. As info, my car was delivered in April, 2021. I’m glad that the car is still (so far) operable with this issue, and still LOVE the car. But 2021 was a full year of service visits — Roof/Windshield recall, high voltage contractor recall, PAAK update. It’s wearing. And, it’s cringeworthy every time a new enhancement is announced via a coming OTA update. Bluecruise is an aspiration!

Me: I bought this car from you 10 months ago and I love it, but it won't accept updates and I'm going on a long road trip soon. Can you help?
Dealer (2-days later): You're right, it doesn't accept updates. You might want to pick up the car if you're going on a trip soon. We're too busy to tear it apart and diagnose.
Me: Can I set an appointment to fix it?
Dealer: Might want to come back in late April?
Me: Is that an appointment?
Dealer: Not really, maybe we won't be as busy by then. It's not an appointment until we diagnose what's wrong with it. We might need to order a part or something.
Me: If I bring it back late April, are we talking about a week or a month?
Dealer: Don't really know. We're just so busy, and our shop foreman is the only one who works on these. Depends on his workload.
It sounds like you may need a new dealer. I'm sure Ford would like to hear about your experience.
On another note,
I took my car in for another problem and when they gave it back to me, they said they updated it with six releases.
Why didn't I get them "over-the air"? ........Nobody knows.

That’s understandable. He knows that Ford does not pay them for software updates on the Mach-e. So tired of Ford’s B.S.

March Update:
Have spoken to Ford Customer Service a number of times. They have no further information on the APIM back order, and tell me that the dealership has better insight on a back ordered part than they do. The Parts Dept at the dealership told me today that they still have no expected delivery date for the APIM. They say that they have marked their order as highest priority, but have no way of obtaining any further information from Ford Production. What a loop!

Anyone else seeing replacement APIMs?
