Powertrain fault and high volatge battery warning - 200 miles from home

I've had 3.5 years and 35K of mostly trouble free motoring. Now I'm having a situation.
A chronology:
July 18: Two faults appear while driving a short distance at city driving speeds. 1). High Voltage battery warning, and 2). powertrain fault message warns me that the car may stop suddenly. Immediate effect on driving, 1 pedal braking feels awful, like car has a flat tire, and acceleration is greatly reduced. Service warning and drive issues self-resolve after the car is restarted.
Same week, take car to dealership for service. Without any diagnostics they "think" recall 23S56 is the issue. Car is with them for a week. Car has an unusual metallic odor when I get it back. No service faults.
7/30 - Head out for 650 round-trip to NC. I do 90% of my charging at home. Make about six NC trips each year and two fast charges in each direction. That's pretty much the totality of my DC fast charging.
Get in first fast charge without incident (Richmond, VA). At 2nd charge (Henderson, NC) the fault reappears and the car will not negotiate a fast charge. I speak with Electrify America support, they look at the logs, tell me that the car will not negotiate a faster session. Dealers in Henderson and Southern Pines (my destination) tell me they can't get the car in for service for 'days'. I charge at 10Kw long enough to get to my destination. Fault clears after I'm back on the road to Southern Pines. No physical manifestation of drive-train issues.
7/30 - 8/2 Level 1 charge adds 170 miles -
8/2 - Start return trip, car is displaying NO service faults. Get to Henderson without incident. Faults reappear as soon as I hook up to EA fast charger. 10kw charge is all it will negotiate. Drop car off at Ford Dealer in Henderson. Nice people but EV is not their 1st or 2nd language. No loaner, so I got an Enterprise rental on my own.
Haven't heard back from the dealer yet. So my Mach-e is 200 miles from home, I'm currently paying for my own rental, and I'm not even in a hurry to speak with anyone because I'm fully expecting this to be a long and weird episode.

Hi there, Dave. This battery concern doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your Mach-E. Should you need further assistance, send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end. To send a private message, just click/hover on our username and select "Message".

My 2022 mache e stopped driving. I was sitting at a red lights and heard a weird clicking/rattle underneath maybe towards the back of the car. I took my foot off the brake and it stopped! No warnings nothing. Put in park turned it off for a few seconds turned it back on, did it again. Repeated, and was able to get around the corner to a parking lot, as soon as I took my foot off the “gas” it stopped again. I don’t use the one pedal drive. I had it towed to dealership and they’ve had it for 4 weeks and still no clue what it could be!!!!!! So frustrated! Anyone else have this happen?
