I know about level 1, 2, fast charging, etc. I just did not know that a level 2 connector was named as you asked above. That said, aren't all EVs to be compatible with charging stations around the country (aside from Tesla, with which an adapter is used) made with the same port on the vehicle? Is Ford building out its own charging infrastructure?
Our understanding is the Level 1/2 connector on the MME in the US will be the standard J1772 and for Level 3 the CCS-Combo Type 1.
However, some of the prototypes running around to shows have been equipped with the European standard CCS and CCS-Combo Type 2 (mennekes), which is incompatible with US systems.
