I have installed a dashcam front and rear. The rear was particularly fiddly with the wiring however I succeeded in the end.
It wasn't without a casualty unfortunately. When fishing the dashcam wire through the rubber boot which 'joins' the hatch and body, the white plastic snap ring fractured. It would appear from other forums that this is common.
All the wiring looms I've looked at on ebay have fractured locking rings.
The Ford dealer here didn't know anything about this and suggested purchasing a new tailgate loom at £133 but I politely declined lol.
I've attached a photo of the offending part. Does anyone have access to a Ford parts catalogue please or any thoughts on where I might get a new or used one?
