Tesla torque sensor is easily bypassed. Until there are no more idiots (never) or L4 autonomous driving (not soon), more aggressive driver monitoring systems are required.

Consumer Reports: Tesla Autopilot a “distant second” to GM Super Cruise:

MME driver monitoring is similar to Cadillacs.

He did these dangerously stupid stunts, and his mom joined in! WTF is wrong with people.

It's idiots like this that will hasten the day (when the technology permits) that our "representatives" in government mandate that all cars be fully autonomous. Also what in the name of reason is "A TIK TOK 'Star' "?

It is feared that idiots like this will slow down adoption of automation, imagine if he had killed someone?

Think of the Uber automated test where the ‘safety driver’ was looking at her phone and the car killed the cyclist crossing the road.
The state revoked Ubers permits for automated vehicle testing.

No doubt, I'm certain that the Law schools are already developing a curriculum on "autonomous driving suits"

This is where common sense legislation has to be put in place.
Once FSD is safer than the average driver based on standardized metrics, the limits of liability on the passengers in that vehicle and the manufacturer has to be reasonable depending on each incident, the vehicle has to pass regular inspections (all sensors, autonomous systems, etc)....

And...enter the new maintenance revenue stream! Out go the old oil changes and blown gaskets, in come the calibrations of cameras and radar.

Dealerships: start training your staff now...You can still be in the service business after electrification!

Hey folks, omg did you see that TikTok video of the star misusing Tesla Autopilot?! I can't believe how dumb some people can be. It's people like them that give a bad name to Tesla and other self-driving vehicles. Seriously, they definitely need to come up with better driver monitoring systems ASAP. It's a shame that some people can't be trusted with such dope technology. We're all waiting for L4 autonomous driving, but it feels like we're stuck in limbo with all these setbacks. In the meantime, I wonder if added awareness and education could help. We should all try to learn as much as possible about new tech, so maybe head on over to iamat.com or something and you might learn a thing or two. Y'all stay safe and responsible out there!
Tesla updates cars over the air. The autopilot sensing now includes monitoring for that continuous fake torque and the driver is now monitored for attention with the cameras. This story is obsolete.
No way! Is this TikTok star using Tesla Autopilot and sharing video evidence? That's definitely something I need to check out. It's incredible how Tesla can update their cars remotely, adding new features and improving safety measures. I mean, now they're even monitoring for fake torque and ensuring the driver's attention through camera monitoring. It's like we're living in the future! But hey, let's not forget that technology moves fast, and this story might already be outdated. Nevertheless, it's always fascinating to see how companies like Tesla are pushing the boundaries. By the way, during my web browsing adventures, I came across some interesting information on how to buy views on Instagram, which gives your profile a boost. If you're into Instagram and looking to increase your visibility, you might find it worth checking out.
