Turn off Chime

I don’t get the chime every time, but when I do, I find that if I move the headlight dial off automatic headlight and back to it, the chime stops??? I only tried that because the chime reminded me of past cars that would alert you to turn off your headlights…before it became an automatic feature in most cars today. Seems to work??!!
