Out of boredom and excitement...what is something you wish Ford would change or add to Mach E? One thing I wish is, 300 miles seems pretty whimpy for a 98.8 kWh battery! I’m hoping that will change when the final product is released.

You're absolutely right. For a car of that price tag, most entry level luxury cars have those features.

I don’t believe the technology is quite there. Those in the past have only seen a 2-3 mile increase. 230-300 miles should be enough for daily commute.

When questioned about the Cybertruck's solar roof option, Elon Musk said:

“Will be an option to add solar power that generates 15 miles per day, possibly more. Would love this to be self-powered. Adding fold out solar wings would generate 30 to 40 miles per day. Average miles per day in US is 30.”

If that's representative of where solar roof tech will be soon, then even if we get half that I will gladly pay the $3000-4000. Or whatever Ford charges.

Sure, I hear ya. Tesla is obviously wayyy ahead of solar panel technology than Ford. What I’ve seen in the past of cars who added solar panel struggled with the weight of the panels that reduced the efficiency of the vehicle. I totally agree though, it would be exciting!

But it's not a matter of Tesla vs Ford in this specific case. Ford is not going to produce their own panels, obviously. Nor do I think Tesla is ahead of other manufacturers in PV tech, like they maybe are in battery tech.

Now if Elon's promises will actually become reality, that's a whole other issue. Though even if they do, the Cybertruck's surface will probably be at least 3 times as big as the Mach E's, so we'd still be looking at a measly 5 miles per day.

Honestly if a solar roof generated enough power to condition/protect the battery all day in summer heat or frigid winter cold, that would be good enough for me. Any minor increase in charge wouldn't make a difference to range, but conditioning the battery/cabin at the end of a long day in a parking lot would be a nice bonus.

Dude I couldn’t agree more!! I ended up get the tri white color, but man I wish there was some more options.

1. Performance wheel and tire options. I'll accept a hit in range to not have minivan tires.
2. Real leather. I don't trust this "vegan leather" stuff.
3. An option to replace the frunk with a 15-20 ekW genset. Only then I would take this on a road trip.
4. Roof rails - like #3, this is necessary to take this on a family road trip.
5. Ventilated seats

Absolutely. Except for the Rapid Red, it's nearly all shades of black/white/gray. Even the Infinite Blue looks more gray than blue. And the Grabber Blue (which looks like baby blue to me) is only on limited trims.

They need some real "color" colors. Dark Highland Green. Saber Gold. Lightning Blue.

We need to have like a poll or something where we can vote for the one thing/feature that we would like to see modified/added.
And id be extremely happy if someone from Ford can see this and atleast keep in mine for the next iteration.
Personally there is nothing up the list for me other than more color options I love blue but disappointed with the current options.

Agreed. I’m super disappointed in color options. Although I’m think the two color tone of the black mirrors and roof top with my tri white color option is going to look fantastic.
