So we qualify for the X-Plan through my employer.

The X-Plan discount is MSRP - 2% + $275 administrative fee.
There is a Ford options cash bonus of $2,500 (requires Ford Credit Financing)

I'm not familiar with Ford Options. Is my math correct?

Premium ($47,000) + Extended Range AWD ($7,700) + Infinite Blue ($400) = $55,100.

X-Plan pricing:
$55,100 - $55,100 * 0.02 + $275 = $54,273

We have ~$10,000 trade in (will likely got more but for the ease of calculation):
$54,273 - $10,000 = $44,273

If we go with Ford Options:
$44,273 - $2,500 = $41,773

Sales tax in our county is 8.125%:
$41,773 * 1.08125 = $45,167

Assuming a "Brutal" 34% Residual for 48 months:
$55,100 * 0.34 = $18,734
So I would be financing:
$45,167 - $18,734 = $26,433
Not sure what the Ford Options interest rates are at present.
We intend to keep the vehicle so the Balloon payment on the 49th month would be $18, 734.

On top of all of this we would get the $7,500 Federal and $2,000 NYS Tax credits.

You can also qualify through Mustang Club of America (need to join for abut $60 annual fee) and that provides a nifty calculator that applies the Ford X-plan to provide that pricing. Rest looks OK to me, but greater minds will hopefully weigh in

And if I run the MCOA X-plan, I get this:

Hi. I am in NY too and if I am not mistaken, the NY portion is a rebate applied directly at purchase. I welcome any further clarification. Thanks.

The NY credit is a point-of-sale rebate. It is applied at time of sale.
So how does that effect my math? Is this correct?

X Plan Purchase Price - Trade In - Ford Options Cash + Sales Tax - NYS tax credit?
$54,273 - $10,000 - $2,500 + $3,394 - $2,000 = $43,167

Assuming a "Brutal" 34% Residual for 48 months:
$55,100 * 0.34 = $18,734 (Balloon payment at the end as we intend to keep the vehicle)

So I would be financing:
$43,167 - $18,734 = $24,433 (Wonder what the Ford Options interest will be?)

I would still get the $7,500 Federal tax credit.

Up until now I was just concerned with being in the right zip code with the finances. As delivery approaches, I'll need to nail down the actual numbers for discussion with my dealer.

Hope our broke a$$ NY state still has the rebate when I take delivery.

I'm leery that the First Edition has been removed from the calculator. It was there last week.

Balloon payment for a ER/AWD Rapid Red Premium on a 48mo/10.5k miles Ford Options is $20,794. Current Interest rate is 2.25%. That’s according to Fords calculator.
Hope this helps.

You start to use the order configurator.

When you get to the interior selection page or further, you can click on the price and adjust payment information.

I received notification today that my Ontario Canada dealer states that X Plan pricing is higher then MSRP and that there is no incentives for X Plan in Canada. Has anyone in Canada receive different information? My FE in Grabber was built this week but is being held until Ford approves the cars to ship to dealers.

Guys X-plan is still there in the US. But it's less than normal, roughly 1.4% + admin fee. See screen shot I just took from the X-plan site.

This is the same as was posted several months ago: If valid it equates to:

MSRP less 2% + administrative fee of $275

There has been no update for several months.

Once deliveries actually begin it will be interesting to see:

  • X-Plan and whether First Editions are included
  • Details as the Ford Option Plan
  • Details as to financing
  • If there will be lease
  • Incentives, if any

I just realized something. If you take a look at footnote 2 on the AZX plan table, it specifies that the incentive listed is not that of Ford financing incentives.

Does this mean if you qualify for Ford Options, you get an additional $2,500 on top of the x-plan incentive?.

That's the way I read it. That's why we will be going with Ford Options even though we are not "leasing".

Same here. As long as they extend the incentive expiration date and they don’t offer a great lease deal.
