I'm curious if the cabin filter is really important, it seems like a big revenue earner for dealers for any car.
The life of the cabin filter is greatly dependent on how dirty the air is where you drive. It can be full of dead bugs, or not; 20,000 miles is just an average. It's about $40.
Did anyone notice that the scheduled maintenance listed in the Ford Pass leaves out a few items that are listed in the Mach E manual? It leaves out the coolant hose inspection, brake fluid change at 3 yrs, transmission fluid and coolant changes at higher mileage. A proper inspection would require removal of the panels around the frunk, and the lower panel under the front motor. A charge of up to $100 seems reasonable IF a proper inspection is done.

My experience...it is absolutely necessary if (1) you drive with widows up most of the time; (2) you want to keep odors out of the cabin (such as skunk; diesel exhaust; smokers in car(s) in front of you; "farm smells," etc. Most effective in cabin filter I have ever experienced.

My mom brought hers in for 10k maintenance. They quoted her $743.03. I said walk the hell out of there.
Unbelievable! I asked my service advisor about the 10,000, 20,000, & 30,000 service and the answer was rotate tires and change the air filter (which is easy and I do it myself). If you need to get yearly inspections for your state let them do it at that time since the tires will be off anyway.

Hello All,

I appreciate everyone's opinions. It was crucial in me purchasing a 23 MME GTPE Nite Pony. I drove a Toyota for 16 years. Lot of information to digest. I noticed in a previous service it showed "Air Conditioning and Heating Service". Any ideas what the issues could have been? I have 9400 miles. I will share my experience.
