Just picked up a 2022 Mach E select and I am still learning the ins and outs of the car.

Regarding the key fob - if the fob battery dies and i dont happen to have my Paak with me, is there a slot or location that I can put the fob in to get the car started?

Also, what about the manual key? I don't see a keyhole anywhere on the exterior in case I need to open the door with a dead car battery. I think factory forgot to cut my keys, they look like blanks.

The keys are blank because there is no place to use them.
If the 12v battery is dead there is an external access that you can attach a charger. That will pop the hood and allow you to get to the battery. (See YouTube or manual)

1. Get phone as a key working and always carry it when your driving.
2. If the key fob battery is dead, use your phone.
3. It is unlikely that the fob would go dead along with the phone.
I would recommend buying a second fob. (I paid $275). Leave it at home for emergencies.

There is a slot for the fob at the front inside of the center console. I do not know whether that will allow you to start the car with a dead fob battery, but the locksmith who programed my 2nd fob used the slot when programing the fob. An additional entry method is the 5 digit door code and then start the car using the 8 digit security code which you can set up after you set up PAAK.
