I have a Dec 22 build date so its a 23 model, AWD Premium, and that sometimes leaks in-to the boot area coming out around the grab handle and boot catch, it spent a day in the local dealership nothing found. Asked to take a picture next time I see it happen. (Not sure how that helps as I know it gets in the the boot) Anyone with a MY23 build having the same issue and perhaps had it fixed.

I have the same issue on my 2022 Mach-E Select. Every time it rains water only collects inside the lift hatch and then pours out 1/2 cup or more out of the handle or blank (where the power lift gate button would be on another model. Auto Nation Torrance cannot figure out where the leak is coming from after leaving it for 5 days. I have multiple videos on this and still not resolved.

Hi jeff, mine goes back again on Wed the 7th Feb to the dealer, at the request of Ford CS, not sure what can be done as they have been only asked to look at it again. Hoping they give them some guidance to fix this and not just to take a look which they have done before and found nothing. They resealed the lights but it still leaks just as bad.

Ford CS, There a lot of complaints' in this blog all with the same issue since the car was first sold, its all talk about helping but no cure given for this issue in the 3 years past. Please give the dealerships the permission to reseal all weather strips on these affected Mach-e's and for us customers to not have to make return trips to the dealerships for the same issue.

I'm also having the same experience. Water leaks from all buttons and around the lights in the trunk lid once I open it after a rain.

I wonder if all you people with water ingress into the tailgate had it sorted if not this is the answer:- it can be the tail lights but I found it to be rain getting in past the Pony badge as it is not a stick on one. It is held in with two pins, ask for it to be removed and sealed that cured mine. No one considered this as dealerships also must have thought is was a stick on badge!

My 2021 MACH e GTPE has this same leak...build date in Nov 2021. I dropped it off to my local Ford Dealership this morning to have it fixed. They called me after an hour to say that they can't find where it's coming from. It's been really dry here the last couple of weeks, and they currently have it in the shower. I feel like my explanation is being lost in translation as the service advisor calls me to find out the info and then relays it to the mechanic. But clearly, I had water running/dripping out of the handle and the switch areas when the lift gate is open. Hopefully they can figure it out.

This is a known issue that Ford Motor Co. is aware of. There are hundreds if not thousands of these vehicles with the same problem. The Service Advisor / Technician should be able to check with Fords ( Oasis ) computer to enter this information to get what Ford recommends to fix it. At least start with that repair then recheck to see if that all it needs. There is what Ford calls a Technical Service Bulletin ( TSB ) with instructions & parts recommended by Ford engineers to fix the leak.

the retaining clip for the hose on my rear windscreen cleaner was faulty. when i bought the car (used and out of b2b warranty) it was just dumping fluid in to the rear hatch. fixed it with a zip tie 10,000mi ago with no issues since. could yours be doing that mobdro ?

Almost always leaking around the tail light assemblies. There have been a number of service bulletins covering various years and time frames. I could make mine leak by applying water from a hose to the tail light, and the dealer finally agreed and fixed.

I have the same problem - mine is late 2022 build.
It seems somehow to gather a sizeble amount of water inside the hatch, and the water will pour out whenever the hatch is opened.

My mach e is fresh out of warranty, and neither the dealer nor Ford Denmark (im from Denmark) thinks its any of their concern.
Im deeply disapointed with Ford's handling of this issue. Its clearly a production flaw that should have been sorted out years ago.
