Hi all, we have recently obtained documents further confirming the October production start date for the Mustang Mach-E. A slide showing the projected monthly production numbers for all of Ford's models now has the Mach-E listed with a production of 3,200 units in October and 4.000 in November. Unfortunately, it doesn't go any further than that, so we cannot tell how quickly the production rate will rise, but 4,000/month already almost gets Ford to their 50,000/year mark.

If things are based on reservation/order number I won't have to worry about driving a MMe this winter. In fact it could be 18 months from my reservation maybe summer of 2021 before I get mine. Very depressing! However, I probably won't have to worry about early production glitches.

This is great news. I saw some early reports that pegged production to start in late October, so this makes it sound like they are going earlier in the month. You have to figure that the first months production is all demo cars. The way things are lining up for me, it is way more advantageous if I can get the car in 2020. My reservation is 10607 and I made the switch to an FE last month. The way things are shaping up I might have a good shot for a nice Christmas gift for myself.

My order number is 100089xx. If this is any indication of sequential order numbers, I’ll have by the end of December 2020. We shall see!!

Lucky you. My number is something like 100023xxx. If they don't increase monthly production, i could be waiting until April 😞

thanks for the post. I was hoping for 4k per week, not per month...

This comes up all the time. Order # doesn't matter and it isn't sequential.

Production is: FE's are first. Then Premiums will most likely be prioritized but not exclusively produced first. The ordering depends primarily on reservation date, not order number or order date.

If you order after reservations are closed, your going to be behind the reservation numbers.

Hi All, so I reserved my car at the dealer in June. The dealer didn't give me a reservation number or order number. He did confirm with me a few weeks ago that it was converted to an order but won't provide me the order number. Do any of you know where I can get it? He said it was for internal use only :(

The process in Canada is completely different from the process in the US.

Is this your first Reservation/Pre-Order/Order you placed for the Mach E? If so, a June purchase is likely to have a delivery in Summer of 2021. More exact timing that far out is unreliable as we don't know how later cars will queue relative to European cars, GTs, etc. check here to get caught up on what we know:

I finally get how it work in Canada just some week ago and I was kind of choc because I really don't know how it will mix with everyone else. Basically:
I place a reservation in November 2019 for a Select. Apparently this was just an order document that I prefill for when they enter the order in the system when it's ready. Each dealer have a certain amount of slots available and usually only one first edition.
In June when the order system was open, many dealer where not informed and some didn't get the training to even order in the system. That make a lot of people like me having to wait near the end of July to convert. My dealer was waiting to contact all person in his list and sending all order at the same time to "Keep" his priority list. Since I was the last in line, they send the order in the second week of august.
So in short, unless they already allocated some units in Canada, even if I reserved early, I'm in the same spot as someone who ordered in August and I will probably have my MME at the end of 2021.

This is my fear also!

As long as Ford got your order before scheduling, you will have priority over those who did not reserve in november and just ordered in august. before you jump to conclusions, why don't you wait out the next month when sequencing for the initial batches will be complete and those customers notified?

I'm agree that in the end I have a car that work and the more I wait, the better it is for my finance. But I'm still in the dark since it can arrive either in Febuary or in 2022 and maybe some repair on my car will be required. I just change both rear caliper and brakes and I will need new winter tires.

Talking of tires, -1C this morning. I would have loved the heated steering wheel :p

I reserved my Premium MME4X on 2019 november 20 and when I placed my order, my dealer said it doesn’t matter when the order is placed, it is when the reservation is made that count. He said I was one of the lucky one to have his MME first here. Since we only have 3000 unit to canada (2000 to quebec) I’m pretty sure they will be delivered sooner then later

That's weird because my dealer said the exact opposite since de reservation is at the dealer only and Ford only know of us when the dealer send the order in the system. Do you know which place in the list of your dealer you have?

I´ve been in Hamburg, Germany last Friday to join the first offical Ford "Go Electric" Event in Germany, where I had the chance to take a ride in the MME. I´ve been there with some guys of an german car magazine and had the chance to talk to the "Chief Engineer" for the MME in Europe. He told me that Ford has about 8000 reservations of the Mach E across Europe. He also mentioned that they are planning to get the first vehicles to customers in germany by the end of january/start of february.
That makes me wonder if we really already reached the 50K mark globally. What´s your opinion on this one?

From other postings, 30,000 of the 50,000 were to go to Europe. 8,000 reservations is rather poor and of course we do not know how many of the reservations were converted to orders and the how many of the orders will convert to actual sales.

But more important, having taken a ride in the MME, what is your impressions? If you are familiar with the Tesla Model Y how does it compare?

So far in the states the only thing we have seen are Ford promotinals: no independent review of any kind.
