Another article on the delay:

No new information for readers here. Interesting is the article seems based on an assumption deliveries were starting this summer. Was that ever a promised delivery time?

The ONLY response I got from Ford was to confirm my $500 reservation back in November 2019. I called the local dealer last month and was told that he knows absolutely nothing since Ford Corp Office has told him nothing (and he is the Mustang Specialist) ! You would think sometime during this waiting period there would have been at least maybe just ONE email with an update. Just makes it very frustrating for those of us in that TWILIGHT ZONE ! Hmmmm….guess if I really want to go electric there is always a TESLA available with that new truck coming ! Or save a lot of money and go for that Toyota Camry TRD model since I am a NASCAR fan. There are options.

FIRST EDITION models to be released early 2021 (there goes that tax break for this year!). PREMIUM models sometime after that ! I AM NOT WAITING ! ! BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Along with Norway, apparently the Netherlands are going to be a "high priority" for Mach-E deliveries in Europe.

(Translated from Dutch)

Netherlands is namely a high priority when it comes to delivery of the new Mustang Mach E . “Because the addition for electric cars will change to 12% again next year, the Netherlands has a sort of priority status when it comes to deliveries. And so we are confident that the Mustang Mach will appear in our country this year ”, says Sebastiaan van de Pol, PR manager of Ford Netherlands, to Autovisie.

A Dutch user on one of the Mach-E Facebook groups says his delivery date is expected for Week 52. Which would be at the end of December/beginning of January.

This is the message I got last week (first "real" communication since I ordered back in November).

It says:

Your reservation is confirmed

Hi,
Please know that we are doing our utmost to limit the impact of the health crisis on your reservation.
Your reservation is well confirmed, and we will keep you informed as soon as you can confirm your order in order to be one of the first French customers to receive your Mustang Mach-E.

---
As you can see, there is no date mentioned anymore... I don't take this as a good sign...

The delay won’t be too long, Ford has said in their press release that the delay in schedules will be no greater that the timeframe of the shut-down, which is two months. It would not be economical to add additional delays.

we can wait and see, keep your fingers crossed.

Was there any other information in the email? Did you have to do anything else?

It is now official, the Mach-E is delayed (at least in France)! 😢

Just got this few minutes ago...

English translation:

We would like to thank you for your patience and hope that you and all your loved ones are doing well.
We are doing our utmost to get our plants back in operation while making the safety of our employees and customers our top priority.

Unfortunately, COVID-19 has disrupted our production plants, which will result in a delay in the delivery of your Ford Mustang Mach-E. Deliveries to France are now scheduled to begin in early 2021, and as one of the first customers to have booked it, you are of course given priority.

The production of the first prototypes has started just before the lockdown and we are particularly confident about the quality of the final product. Indeed, we continue to make improvements to the Mustang Mach-E and are confident that it will exceed all your expectations.

We will keep you informed soon of new information regarding your 100% electric SUV.
